The Muse and Dreamings in section of our site would be your first choice. Go to Carnage in the Muse.
The Primer, DreamAges also has a page on the Beast, how the nightmare is your ally, not enemy.
James Hillman's book The Dream and the Underworld tackles the bloodshed in dreams as the psyches, the images/gods/goddesses attempt to tear your waking world notion of reality to pieces. I agree with that position and when those dreams occur you need to look over your shoulder to what you think you know, expect, or are holding onto.
