I recently re read the myth of Anachria, the woman who could weave like the goddesses. Ahtena, I believe, I don't have the myth in front of me as I write this, became jealous of the mortal's ability to weave such splendid weavings. The story goes on and is worth looking up. Because the up shot of it is that Anachria out did Athena in a weaving contest and so was turned into a spider.
Now what does this have to do with spider dreams, well, since this dream is reoccuring and as such has to do with your shame, I would suspect that you were seen as a threat to another spider, woman, mother, and were shamed for it. When you see into how you were shamed as a child you will not have this dream again.
