We know that the body does not know the difference between waking and sleeping.
When you get shot at in a dream the body responds as if you were being shot at while awake.
But that doesn't satisfy, there is something else going on here. With the loud nosie that is.
Loud sounds get our attention like nothing else. So I go back to the idea of what is going on
in your life that is so intense that it would make your ears ring and your heart race.
