Like you, I'm afflicted by SCI and am determined to refuse to accept this "change of life" as permanent. I applaud both your defiant spirit, as well as your strength in becoming a lamp of hope to many, rather than retreat into a pit of personal despair.
In eagerly scanning the Net for the latest updates in research, I'm struck by disturbing inconsistancies. Likewise, I find "alternative" or sketchy treatments highly dubious. (I approached a "faith" healer soon after my discharge who assured me I was curable. However, after consulting with her astral advisor, named Bob, she changed my prognosis. She said she couldn't heal me, but if I was a dead chicken she could bring me back to life. Just my luck to be a man when she was running a special on chickens!)
Nevertheless, I'm not selling or asking for anything. I have some ideas regarding ways of hastening the day when concrete treatments backed by respected researchers will be begin to breath life into paralysed limbs.
